Highlites:
Day 1:
Camy lost to Canada in Quarter finals only by one point. Canada
won gold by beating everyone else by a huge margin.
Christian won his first 2 matches clearly and scored a few
jump hook kicks in the process before losing by one point
to California in Quarter finals – great performance
Christian in your first national/international tournament.
Day 2: Miles rocked the house – He was on the foreign
side of the bracket and took out the national team members
from Tunesia, last years champion from Mexico and Canada in
quarter finals. In Semi finals he lost to the champ Matt Kim
from New York in Overtime and got Bronze. Jamal lost by one
point to Nathanael(Silver medalist) and U’I lost by
one point to 2010 National team member Jessie Bates.
Day 3: U’I lost to Puerto Rico in the Senior Bantam
division.
This Year’s US Open in Las Vegas featured over 1600
athletes from 62 countries including 14 National Teams and
several Olympic Medalists. The Us Open is for black belts
only and is one of the highest-rated international open events
in the world.
